Aige Old Music

What do you do for inspiration? I do a lot of things, but mostly, I listen to music. As you might have guessed, I'm a big fan of old Jazz, Swing/Big Band, so not only do I listen to it for entertainment, I also listen to it when I'm stuck--specifically on my screenplay (which is set in the early half of the 20th-Century).

1930's/40's music makes me feel as though I've been here before, you know? It makes me miss something that I wasn't even around for! Now, I'm not one of those "I was born in the wrong generation!" kind of young people. I don't consider one generation's music to be better or worse than another, but there's just something about those two decades (of music) that just really stands out to me. It "tugs at my heart strings".

I'm currently taking a short break from writing notes for my script to add more music to my "Aige Old Music" playlist on iTunes (and to write this post, of course). I think it will give the extra boost that I need to get out of this frequent screenwriting rut of mine.

Just wanted to share this "What's Adrienne Doing?" kind of post with you all. I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! Be good to the Dads in your life! =)
