Man Crush Monday (Retro Style) - #7

Before Mr. Poitier and Mr. Belafonte--this man broadened the scope of what a black actor could be in early Hollywood. Today's "man crush" is James Edwards.

Mr. Edwards is probably best remembered for his work in Home of the Brave (1949), The Joe Louis Story (1953), The Killing (1956), The Manchurian Candidate (1962), and various television roles throughout the 1960s.

Man Crush Monday (Retro Style) - #1

From Margaret Perry

This month on People of Color in Classic Film, I honored Cantinflas as March 2015's "Star of the Month" and today, on Monday, March 30, 2015 he has the distinction (albeit small) of being The Life of An Aige Old Soul's first "man crush".

I'm a growing fan of this comedy legend. He does the slightest things--makes a simple gesture or facial expression--and I find myself cracking up! He also exudes a certain charm that I personally find painfully attractive.
