Thank you for checking out the first installment of Aige Old Smoothies. What are "Aige Old Smoothies"?
About two years ago, I bought myself a personal-sized blender for three reasons: 1) I love smoothies; 2) I have oral allergy syndrome and 3) After gaining the "Freshman 15 20" (then the Sophomore 10...and another 10 my Junior year), I realized that I needed to bring fruits and veggies back to the center, somehow, some way.
With all of that said, I've decided to spice up my smoothie routine. Being the classic entertainment lover I obviously am, one day this past December, I came up with the idea of finding inspiration in some of my favorite classic entertainers to create smoothie recipes. Without further ado, here is the first recipe:
(A smoothie inspired by Anna May Wong)

Along with being talented, Anna May Wong was breathtakingly gorgeous. I could look at photos of this legend all day. Her beauty was ethereal--goddess-like. Which is why I named this smoothie recipe "The Goddess Among Us". How did I come up with contents? I just asked myself a few questions: What kind of fruits/vegetables do people eat to get through and conquer the day? Make them feel refreshed? Make them feel like they're on a path to healthiness? I soon came up with a recipe that called for some familiar (but very beneficial) fruits and a green vegetable that's not kale.
This smoothie is pretty tart, but I hope that you find it enjoyable! Have fun with the recipe! Be aware of allergens and switch things up if wanted or needed!
